In accordance with the EU Gender Equality Strategy 2020\u20132025, the adoption of this instrument has therefore become mandatory for all research institutions wishing to participate in projects funded by the various European Commission programmes. <\/p>\n<p>Under our legal system, the Gender Equality Plan (GEP) was adopted by Legislative Decree 150\/2009 in order to meet the objectives of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, so that all women and girls may empower themselves and achieve self-determination without suffering any discrimination.
