A.I. EDU SEA – Artificial Intelligence for Education on Sea

CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
The A.I. EDU SEA project is issuing a call for expressions of interest to select high schools in Molise to participate in an innovative educational initiative that combines environmental sustainability, science, and artificial intelligence.

Overview
CoNISMa, through the Molise Local Research Unit—a partner in the A.I. EDU SEA project—is issuing a call for expressions of interest to high schools in the Molise Region. A.I. EDU SEA stems from a simple idea: if we want a more sustainable future, we must help the younger generations combine knowledge and awareness, technology and responsibility, by learning to understand (and protect) the sea.

The project offers schools the opportunity to introduce a new approach to teaching in the classroom: one that is more engaging, interdisciplinary, and focused on the real challenges of our time, with a particular emphasis on understanding and protecting the ocean.

The project is funded by the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗴 𝗜𝗣𝗔 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗮 Program 𝘁𝗶𝗰 (Italy–Albania –𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗼).

The selected schools will benefit from four main project activities, including:
Ø Analysis and strategic plan to integrate AI and sustainability into educational curricula
Ø Use and testing of digital teaching tools (e.g., multilingual educational chatbots)
Ø Testing in school Living Labs in partner countries
Ø Training courses for teachers and promotion of an international network of “Blue & AI Literate” schools.
