Recommendations on the Obligations of CoNISMa Members Regarding Scientific Publications
The CoNISMa Board of Directors wishes to remind all members and collaborators of the importance of indicating their affiliation with CoNISMa, alongside that of their university, in publications resulting from projects, contracts, and research managed by our Consortium.
We suggest and recommend that this affiliation be indicated as follows:
“CoNISMa, Piazzale Flaminio 9, 00197 Rome, Italy”
Some members and collaborators have already indicated their affiliation with CoNISMa, but many—far too many—have not yet done so.
This requirement emerged during the 2004–2010 VQR and the 2011–2014 VQR.
For the purposes of the evaluation, the Consortium was able to submit the scientific publications of its accredited members, but only those clearly attributable to CoNISMa itself.
Unfortunately, we had to exclude some worthy publications because they did not mention their affiliation with the Consortium or CoNISMa in the acknowledgments section of the publication itself.
We are confident that, with your cooperation, these situations will not happen again.
Furthermore, we would like to emphasize that membership in CoNISMa ensures external visibility, benefiting both the Consortium and its members, who can take advantage of the networks of which CoNISMa is a part.
In fact, CoNISMa participates in several European networks of excellence and has significantly strengthened its relationships with other Italian research institutions.
For the reasons outlined above and in the common interest of the Consortium and its affiliates, we reaffirm our commitment to indicate our affiliation with CoNISMa in all publications resulting from activities managed by the Consortium.
