MAR PICCOLO TARANTO
1. Detailed georeferenced survey of bathymetric-morphological data (SB/MB, SSS) and stratigraphy of surface sediments (SBP) of the Mar Piccolo of Taranto, using a suitable vessel capable of navigating inside the production structures present in the basin.
2. Biocoenotic mapping of the Mar Piccolo of Taranto using ROV and underwater camera towed on the bottom, as well as through underwater inspection.
3. Construction of the geological, morphological, and sedimentological model of the Mar Piccolo; evaluation of the effects of flood flows; reconstruction of morphological basins.
APULIAN AQUEDUCT (ACQUEDOTTO PUGLIESE)
Specialist studies on existing submarine pipelines in the Apani locality, used as an outfall for treated wastewater from the Carovigno consortium treatment plant, and its eventual extension.
BERGEGGI OUTREACH
Implementation of interventions aimed at promoting the Bergeggi Marine Protected Area, disseminating knowledge of marine and coastal environments through teaching and environmental education activities, and promoting socio-economic development.
CABRAS III
The service provides for the monitoring of removal activities (professional small-scale fishing and recreational fishing) as part of the monitoring of habitats and species under the “Habitats” and “Birds” Directives affecting the marine SCI (Site of Community Importance) and the SPAs (Special Protection Areas) eventually overlapping them, coinciding with the perimeter of the “Sinis Peninsula – Mal di Ventre Island” Marine Protected Area, Marine SCI ITB030080 “Mal di Ventre and Catalano Island”. During the service, the following activities will be carried out:
1) evaluation of the catch in the SCI area of fish species taken during ordinary professional fishing activity;
2) evaluation of the catch of fish species taken by recreational/sports fishermen in the SCI area.
Supplementary actions:
– evaluation of the fleet composition
– collection of information on fishing and cetacean interactions and the use of gear
– participation in the interdisciplinary discussion for the definition of the Management Plan for the marine SCI with the coordination group or other monitoring groups.
TORRE GUACETO XIII
The study aims to identify guidelines for the management of the Torre Guaceto Marine Protected Area. This includes a section on geomorphological and biological analyses and a socio-economic part.
MARINE STRATEGY
Production of scientific data to be presented to the European Commission, processed according to the indications given in the first instance by ISPRA in compliance with national and community laws and regulations.
